Here is a quick guide to interpreting the keyword data eRank shows you as you research SEO for your shop.

Average Searches

"Average Searches" refers to the average number of searches per month for the keyword you searched in the marketplace you selected (in the country you selected). eRank bases this metric on the past 12 months of Etsy data.

Look for keywords in your brand's niche that have a relatively high number of average searches.

Example: in the image above, the term "slime" was searched on Etsy an average of 12,618 times per month by shoppers in the US over the past 12 months.

Average Clicks

"Average Clicks" refers to the average number of clicks the keyword you searched gets per month in the marketplace you selected (in the country you selected). eRank bases this metric on the past 12 months of Etsy data.

Look for keywords in your brand's niche that have a relatively high number of average clicks.

Example: in the image above, listings containing the term "slime" received an average of 13,668 clicks per month by shoppers in the US over the past 12 months.

Average CTR

"CTR" stands for "click-through rate." "Average CTR" refers to the average ratio of clicks to searches the keyword you searched receives per month in the marketplace you selected (in the country you selected). It's displayed as a percentage. eRank bases this metric on the past 12 months of Etsy data.

Look for keywords in your brand's niche that have a relatively high CTR.

Example: in the image above, the term "slime" had an average CTR of 108% over the past 12 months.

Etsy Competition

"Etsy Competition" refers to the number of listings that are matched to the keyword you searched. It does not include ads or personalized results.

Look for keywords in your brand's niche that have relatively low Etsy competition.

Example: in the image above, 46,446 Etsy listings were matched with the term "slime."

Keyword Difficulty (KD)

A search term's keyword difficulty ratio, abbreviated as "KD," is the ratio of its monthly search volume to its Etsy competition.

Look for keywords with relatively low keyword difficulty ratios. The lower the number, the less competition there is for the keyword versus search volume. This, potentially, indicates an opportunity in the marketplace.

Example: in the image above, the term "slime" has a keyword difficulty ratio of 28.
