Create Video helps you create a slideshow using images of your products. Upload this slideshow to your Etsy listings, your business's website, or your business's social media.

Benefits

Use this feature to make short videos that capture the interest of shoppers. Etsy allows you to upload one video per listing. Doing this may boost your listings in Etsy search results.

In addition, adding videos to your listings makes it easy to showcase your products from every angle. You can also show your products being used to convey their intended use to shoppers.

How to use

In the Main Menu, click "Listing Optimization" and then "Create Video."

Video Preview

Click the green "Select Images" button on the left side of the page to upload up to 15 product images from your computer to feature in your video. You can also simply drag and drop your images here.

Tips

Video Format

Aspect Ratio

Use Square 1:1 for videos that will be posted on your Instagram feed.

Use Horizontal 16:9 for videos that will be posted on YouTube or added to your Etsy listings.

Use Vertical 9:16 for videos that will be posted on your shop's Instagram story or TikTok account.

Video Duration

Since online shoppers prefer quick, easily digestible content, try to make your video as short as possible. However, ensure that each photo in the slideshow displays for a few seconds so shoppers don't feel rushed.

Background Color

Choose a color that will help your video stand out. Lighter, neutral colors tend to look best in most cases.

Try not to choose a color that might distract shoppers from the products featured in your video.

Transitions

Transition Animation

Use the "Transition Animation" function to set the same transition for all of the images you've uploaded.

Transition Length

Try not to let transitions between photos take up a significant portion of the video. For shorter videos, opt for 0.5-second or 1-second transitions.

If you upload many images with longer transitions, this tool may automatically adjust the settings to keep the video within Etsy's 15-second limit.

Branding

Logo

Click "Upload Logo" or simply drag and drop your shop's logo (or watermark) into the green box under "Logo" and choose where it should go in each image using the icons on the right.

Logo Position

Your logo will stay in the same place throughout the entire video.

FPS (Frames Per Second)

FPS

Choose a higher frame rate for smoother transitions.
