Uh oh. Did you just kill one of your best-selling items on Etsy? It's easy to do!

eRank to the rescue! Here are two ways to help you identify and undo an SEO change that damaged your sales.

1. Use your listing's sales history

The "Sales History" section in eRank's Listing Audit shows you the title and tags of each listing at the time it sold.

  1. Go to the Listing Audit page for that listing. For easy access, this feature is linked within most of eRank’s features underneath the "Listing Optimization" tab in the main menu.

  2. Scroll down to the "Sales History" section.

  3. Here, you will see the title and tags just as your buyers saw them when they purchased. Find the version of your listing that sold regularly and copy its title and tags back into your listing. It’s as easy as that!

2. Use your listing's daily snapshots

This method is more proactive. It’s also useful for those of you who like to do A/B testing. It does require that you turn on tracking before you make changes to your listings.

  1. Go to eRank's Listing Audits feature.

  2. Find the listing you want to fix.

  3. Click the "Track Changes" button to activate daily snapshots of that listing and its stats.

Once you've turned on tracking, go to your Etsy Shop Manager and make your changes. Then, return to Listing Audits periodically and click the "Show Changes" button to see your listing's daily snapshots.

Find the row that has the data for the day you turned on daily snapshots. Or look back through to find when that product was performing better. Review its title and tags and then add them back into your listing.

Pro tip: Beware of changing any listing that is selling well! Even seemingly-minor tweaks to your listing SEO can result in a steep drop in views, favorites, and sales.
