Keyword Lists (BETA)

Save and group keywords alongside their latest search data.

Is your desk covered with post-it notes or notebooks filled with keyword ideas? Or do you keep a spreadsheet of keyword ideas and stats that are a pain to keep up-to-date?

You should use Keyword Lists! This feature allows you to save and group keywords alongside their latest search data. Color-code, sort, add notes, and add more keywords as you research.

Benefits

Use this feature to save search terms you find in your keyword research in easily-accessible lists.

Compare search data from a variety of marketplaces and make notes. Color-code lists to group them by season, holiday, priority, etc.

How to use

In the Main Menu, select "Keyword Research" and then "Keyword Lists."

You can also click the "Keyword Lists" button at the top of your dashboard.

Creating keyword lists

Click the star next to any tags that appear in the Keyword Tool, Listing Audit or any other pages on eRank that contain keyword data tables. This saves the term to your active keyword list.

Click the three dots to the right of any star to view all of your lists. Here, you can add the term to or remove it from any list using the checkboxes on the left. You can also create new lists and delete lists you no longer need.

Free members can save up to 5 keywords to one list, Basic members can save up to 50 keywords to 25 different lists, Pro members can save up to 50 keywords to 50 different lists. and Expert members can save up to 100 keywords to 100 different lists.

Viewing and managing your keyword lists

Take a shortcut to your keyword lists anytime by clicking the floating green button in the bottom left corner of the page and then clicking any list or "Manage Lists." Drag and drop keywords into your lists here as you research. You can also manage your tracked shops in our Competitor Sales tool by clicking "Tracked Shops."

Use the table titled "My Keyword Lists" to view the following information:

Column

What It Means

List Name

The name of each list.

Keywords

The number of keywords in each list.

Flags

A way to color-code your lists. Click the gray box next to any keyword to assign a color to it. Click an existing color to change it or revert it to gray.

Last Updated

The date the list was last updated.

Notes

A place where you can add a private note to yourself about any list.

Copy or delete a list using the green "Copy" button and red "Delete" button (the one with the trash can icon) that appear on the right side of its row when you hover your cursor over it. You can also delete any list by checking the box to the left of its title and then clicking the red "Delete Selected" button that appears in the top right corner of the page.

Sort any column by clicking the small gray arrows to the right of the column's title.

Click the green "Create List" button in the top right corner of the page to create a new keyword list.

Viewing and managing keywords in individual lists

Click the arrow to the left of any list to display all of its keywords. Use the keyword data table to view the following information:

What It Means

Keywords

The keywords you've added to the list.

To search for a specific term, click the magnifying glass to the right of the column's header. Then, type the term into the field that appears next to the icon.

Click any term to open our Keyword Tool feature and perform a detailed analysis of the top 100 listings found in Etsy search results for that keyword.

Search Trend

These graphs display each keyword’s changes in popularity over the past 15 months. Hover your cursor over the bars of any keyword's graph to see how its search volume has changed over the past 15 months. From this data, you can get a sense of a keyword’s seasonality and whether it is becoming more or less popular.

Chars.

The number of characters in each keyword, including spaces and punctuation.

Avg. Searches*

The average number of searches per month for each keyword, based on the past 12 months of Etsy data.

Avg. Clicks*

The average number of clicks each keyword gets per month, based on the past 12 months of Etsy data.

Avg. CTR*

The average ratio of clicks to searches each keyword receives per month (shown as a percentage), based on the past 12 months of Etsy data.

Etsy Competition*

If you chose Etsy for a marketplace, use this column to see the number of listings that were matched to each keyword. This metric does not include ads or personalized results.

Google Searches

The estimated number of searches performed on Google each month for each keyword. Google search data is also useful for your website (if you have one) and can help you understand broader user interest levels, keywords, and products.

Please note that, at this time, Google search data is only available for the US.

Click the arrow icon next to any number to view that keyword's search data on Google Trends.

*This data is color-coded as follows:

Color

What It Means

Green

The keyword's average monthly searches, average monthly clicks, or CTR is very high. A green Etsy competition bar means that competition with the keyword on Etsy is very low.

Yellow

The keyword's average monthly searches, average monthly clicks, or CTR is high. A yellow Etsy competition bar means that competition with the keyword on Etsy is low.

Orange

The keyword's average monthly searches, average monthly clicks, or CTR is low. An orange Etsy competition bar means that competition with the keyword on Etsy is high.

Red

The keyword's average monthly searches, average monthly clicks, or CTR is very low. A red Etsy competition bar means that competition with the keyword on Etsy is very high.

To change the name of your list, click the pencil and paper icon to the right of its current name.

Click the green "Add Keyword" button on the right side of the page to add new keywords to your list.

To delete keywords from your list, check the box to the left of any term(s) and click the red "Delete Keywords" button on the right.

Sorting and filtering keywords in individual lists

Sort any column by clicking the small gray arrows to the right of the column's title.

To filter your data, click the filter icon to the right of a column's header. Here, you can use up to two rules to filter the contents of the column.

Click the "Columns" button on the right side of the page to choose the data you'd like to view. Click and drag any column to change its position in the table below.

Choosing a marketplace, choosing a country, and exporting individual keyword lists

Click the first dropdown menu to the right of the "Delete Keywords" button to choose which marketplace you'd like to view data from.

Click the second drop-down menu next to it to select which country you would like to view data from.

If you are a Basic member, Pro member, or Expert member, click the "Export" button on the far right to export, copy, or print the list for future reference.

Who can use this?

This feature is available to all eRank members.

Please note that the Basic plan was introduced during COVID-19 as a temporary measure to support sellers. In August 2025, we retired the Basic plan to adapt to Etsy’s new API pricing and continue offering powerful, reliable tools. Rest assured, if you are a Basic member, you will remain on your current plan indefinitely unless you decide to cancel or upgrade.
