The Keyword Tool is dedicated to helping people find keyword ideas for their product listings on various platforms. It performs a detailed analysis of the top 100 listings found in search results for any keyword you choose on a variety of different selling platforms.
Benefits
This feature provides you with data based on how shoppers search in various marketplaces. It also gives you insight into your competitors’ listings on Etsy. Use it to see how they write their titles, which tags they use, how they price their items, and how many views and hearts (favorites) their listings get.
This feature works on a near-match basis (similar to how Etsy search works). This means that the information in the stats sections at the top of the page includes singular, plural, and other very close variations of any keyword. For example, searching "mom gift" will retrieve stats for "mom gift," "gift for mom," "mom gifts," and so on. Synonyms (ex: mother) and international spelling variations (ex: mum) are not supported.

Metric | What It Means |
Keyword Statistics | Use this chart to view the keyword’s average number of searches and clicks per month, as well as its click-through rate (ratio of clicks to searches, abbreviated as CTR). These figures are based on the past 12 months of data. If you chose to view keyword data from Etsy, you can also view the keyword’s estimated competition.
If the keyword you entered is trending, "TRENDING" will display underneath its average CTR. Keywords with a high number of clicks and/or a high CTR tell us that buyers are interested in the search results that they are seeing. These keywords may generate more views and sales than other choices.
If you'd prefer to view Keyword Statistics for the specific term you entered and exclude near matches, toggle the button in the top right corner of this section. Example: if you search "mom gift," "gift for mom" and "mom gifts" are some near matches for this term. |

About the data
Etsy and other marketplaces do not disclose their keyword search and click volumes. We get our data from leading 3rd party data analytics companies that are used by many Fortune 500 businesses. To ensure the highest possible accuracy, the search volume, click, and click-through rates are based on the search behavior of millions of users who have opted in to share their data. While great effort goes into making sure these numbers are as accurate as possible, they should be regarded as estimates. The numbers reported here may differ from what other companies provide due to different data collection methodologies and data providers.
