How to use
How to save keywords to lists

Click any tag to navigate to our Keyword Tool feature, where you can perform a detailed analysis of the top 100 listings found in Etsy search for that specific term.
Click the star to the left of any term to add it to your most recently edited keyword list.
Take a shortcut to your keyword lists by clicking the rectangular floating button in the bottom right corner of the extension.
Click the green "+ New List" button to start a new keyword list.
Click "Manage" to open our Keyword Lists tool, where you can color-code terms, sort them, add notes, and more.
How to use the data tables
We designed the tables in the eRank extension to streamline your keyword research and data analysis.
Use the search field in the top left corner of any table to search for a specific term.
You can sort any column by clicking the small gray arrows to the right of the column's title.
Click the copy icon to the right of any term to copy it to your clipboard. Or, click the "Copy All" button in the top right corner of any table to copy all of its terms to your clipboard.
Homepages
On each platform's homepage, the extension displays a data table containing the following:
Column | What It Means |
Keyword | The top trending keywords on the platform. |
Search Trend | These interactive trend graphs display each keyword’s changes in popularity over the past 15 months. Hover your cursor over the bars of any keyword's graph to see how its search volume has changed over the past 15 months. From this data, you can get a sense of a keyword’s seasonality and whether it is becoming more or less popular. |
Avg. Searches* | The average number of searches per month for each keyword, based on the past 12 months of data. |
Avg. Clicks* | The average number of clicks each keyword gets per month, based on the past 12 months of data. |
Avg. CTR* | Short for "click-through rate," this is the average ratio of clicks to searches each keyword receives per month (shown as a percentage), based on the past 12 months of data. |
Competition* (Etsy only) | The number of listings that eRank matched with the keyword. This metric does not include ads or personalized results. |
Use this data to explore new SEO trends.
What the different colors mean
*You will see more data tables like this one throughout the extension. In each table, these metrics are color-coded as follows:
Color | What It Means |
Green | The keyword's average monthly searches, average monthly clicks, or CTR is very high. A green Etsy competition bar means that competition with the keyword on Etsy is very low. |
Yellow | The keyword's average monthly searches, average monthly clicks, or CTR is high. A yellow Etsy competition bar means that competition with the keyword on Etsy is low. |
Orange | The keyword's average monthly searches, average monthly clicks, or CTR is low. An orange Etsy competition bar means that competition with the keyword on Etsy is high. |
Red | The keyword's average monthly searches, average monthly clicks, or CTR is very low. A red Etsy competition bar means that competition with the keyword on Etsy is very high. |
Etsy search results pages, Amazon search results pages, and Etsy category and subcategory pages
The extension displays the following information when you either a) view a product category's or subcategory's page on Etsy (the category's or subcategory's name acts as a search term), or b) use the Etsy or Amazon search bar to search any keyword or phrase:
"Overview" tab
Section | What It Shows You |
Keyword Statistics | Use this section to view the search term's average number of searches and clicks per month, as well as its click-through rate. These figures are based on the past 12 months of data. If you're viewing keyword data from Etsy, you can also view the keyword’s estimated competition. |
Search Trend (USA) | Use this interactive line graph displaying US-based search trends on Etsy, Amazon, eBay, and Google to gain insight into how the keyword has performed over the past 15 months. Click anywhere on the line to view the selected platform's total number of searches for that keyword during a specific month. |
Searchers by Country | Use this section to view the locations of the people who have searched for the keyword over the past 12 months. |
Listings | This displays all of the listings on the search results page. You can view each listing's main image, title, total sales, total views, and tags.
Click any listing's main image or title to open a side panel that shows you detailed stats about the item.
Click the three dots to the right of any listing's title and select "Listing Audit" to run an in-depth analysis of its images, tags, description, and more. This feature shows you how well your listing complies with the guidelines found in Etsy’s The Ultimate Guide to Etsy Search and Google Search Essentials.
Click "View on Etsy" to view the listing on Etsy. |
Listing side panel
Click any listing's main image or title to view the following stats about it:
Stat | What It Means |
Est. Sales | The estimated number of sales that the listing has had since it was originally published on Etsy. |
Est. Revenue | The estimated amount of revenue made over the life of the listing. |
Est. Conversion Rate | The estimated ratio between the number of people who made a purchase and the number of people who clicked on the listing. So, if the listing generated 10 sales after 1000 people clicked on it, its conversion rate is 1%. The higher a listing's conversion rate, the better. |
Est. Monthly Sales | The estimated average number of sales the listing has per month, based on the past twelve months of US data. |
Views | The number of views the listing has had since it was originally published on Etsy. |
Listing Age | The date the listing was created. |
Available | The total number of units of the item that the shop has in stock. |
Favorites | The number of favorites the listing has had since it was created. |
Below, you can view detailed stats about the listing's tags. Use your cursor to drag the table horizontally and view all of the data columns.
Click the "View on Etsy" button at the bottom of the panel to view the listing on Etsy.
Click the green "Listing Audit" button next to it to audit the listing.

"Tags" tab
Use this tab to view the top 100 most popular tags found in the listings that were matched with the term you searched.
In addition to showing you each tag's search data (just like it does on a platform's homepage), the extension also provides a Keyword Difficulty ("KD") score for each term when you're researching on Etsy. Located to the right of the "Keyword" column, this number is the ratio of each term's monthly search volume to its Etsy competition. The lower the number, the less competition there is for the keyword versus search volume. This potentially indicates an opportunity in the marketplace.
Each tag's score is color-coded as follows:
Color | What It Means |
Green | A green KD ratio means that the ratio of the keyword's monthly search volume to its Etsy competition is low. |
Yellow | A yellow KD ratio means that the ratio of the keyword's monthly search volume to its Etsy competition is average. |
Orange | An orange KD ratio means that the ratio of the keyword's monthly search volume to its Etsy competition is high. |
Red | A red KD ratio means that the ratio of the keyword's monthly search volume to its Etsy competition is very high. |
"Shops" tab
Use this tab to view all of the shops with listings featured on the first search results page for the term you searched. On the right, you can view how many listings from each shop are featured, along with how many of those listings are paid ads.
Click any shop's name to open our Shop Info tool and view in-depth statistics about that shop.
Etsy listing pages
When you view an Etsy listing, the extension displays the same listing side panel that appears when you click a listing in the extension while viewing Etsy search results, a category's page, or a subcategory's page.
Etsy shop pages
The extension displays the following information when you view any Etsy shop:
"Overview" tab
Section | What It Means |
Sales Trend | Use this section to view a bar chart of the shop's sales over the past 15 months. Hover your cursor over the bars to see how its sales volume has changed during that time. From this data, you can get a sense of which time(s) of the year the shop brings in the most sales. |
Sales Stats | Total sales: The number of items the shop has sold since it opened.
Sales Rank (Global): The estimated rank of the shop compared to all other Etsy shops, based on the number of items it has sold since it opened.
Sales Rank (National): The estimated rank of the shop compared to all other Etsy shops in the same country, based on the number of items it has sold since it opened. |
Sales History | The number of sales the shop has had today, yesterday, and over the past seven days. |
Listings | This displays all of the listings on the page you're viewing. You can view each listing's main image, title, total sales, total views, and tags.
This section functions the same as the "Listings" section under the "Overview" tab when you use the extension to view Etsy search results, a category's page, or a subcategory's page. |
"Tags" tab
Use this tab to view all of the tags used in the shop. For each tag, the data table displays a search trend graph for the past 15 months, along with average monthly searches and Etsy competition. You can learn more about these metrics here.
In addition to this data, you can see how many times the shop uses each tag in the "Tag Occurrences" column. Click any number in this column to open the "Tags" tab in our Shop Info tool and view in-depth statistics about the shop's tags.
Your Etsy listing editor
The extension provides you with AI-powered title, description, and tag ideas as you create and edit your listings on Etsy.
Start by typing a short phrase that describes your product into the prompt field at the top of the side panel. Then, click "Submit" to see ideas generated by our AI Listing Helper tool, which is powered by OpenAI (the same software behind ChatGPT).
You can change your prompt at any time by clicking the "Edit prompt" button at the top of the side panel.
Click the "Copy" button next to any title or description idea to copy it to your clipboard. From there, you can paste it into one of your Etsy listings and edit it as you see fit.

In the "Tag Ideas" section, use your cursor to drag the table horizontally and view all of the data columns.
Want to copy some of the keywords you see and paste them into a listing? Just check the box to the left of your term(s) of choice and click the floating green "Copy Selected" button that appears at the top of the side panel. This will save the terms to your clipboard, separated by commas.
Please note that OpenAI is not an SEO expert. You will still need to research its suggestions and apply common sense. Think of it like a plane’s "autopilot" setting. It helps you get from A to B, but you want a human to oversee the landing.
